The Position

Are you an experienced building, plumbing and/or compliance professional?

Do you have the leadership skills, technical expertise and local government knowledge to drive regulatory excellence and deliver outcomes that make a real difference in the community?

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Coordinator Building, Plumbing and Compliance to lead our team and oversee effective delivery of building, plumbing and development compliance services.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering good outcomes for the community, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies, and supporting sustainable development.

As the Coordinator Building, Plumbing and Compliance, you’ll lead and support a team of building, plumbing and compliance professionals, provide technical guidance on complex regulatory matters, and ensure services are delivered consistently, efficiently and in accordance with legislative obligations. You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of plumbing inspectors, building certifiers and development compliance officers to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Providing expert building,



plumbing and compliance advice on complex and sensitive matters.
- Ensuring building, plumbing and compliance services are timely, consistent, customer-focused and aligned with relevant local government processes, legislation and statutory requirements.
- Building robust relationships with internal stakeholders, applicants, the broader community.
- Supporting continuous improvement across compliance processes, systems and service delivery.
- Contributing to strategic compliance initiatives and organisational priorities.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

- Applicants must have the legal right to work inAustralia and hold a current drivers licence.
- Successful applicants will also be required toundertake a pre-employment medical assessment,drug screen, a criminal history check, workentitlement check and qualification check.
