Grader Operator – Bulk Earthworks & Final Trim

The role
We’re looking for a skilled Grader Operator to run Cat 140 grader fitted with Trimble machinecontrol. You’ll work across the full earthworks cycle, from bulk earthworks and cut-to-fill through to accurate, high-quality final trim on subgrade and pavement layers, on projects ranging from carparks and roads to building pads.

What you’ll be doing

Operating a new Cat 140 grader on bulk earthworks, including cut-to-fill, spreading and shaping fill

Spreading, conditioning and trimming fill layers ready for compaction

Final trimming of subgrade, subbase and basecourse to design levels

Working with Trimble GPS machine control to meet design levels and tight tolerances

Shaping and trimming pavements, carparks, roads and building pads

Working closely with roller operators,



water cart drivers and the survey team

Carrying out daily pre-start checks and basic machine care

Following site safety requirements, SWMS and traffic management plans

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a final trim grader operator on civil projects

Strong working knowledge of Trimble (or similar) GPS machine control

Ability to consistently achieve tight tolerances and a quality finish

Grader ticket / VOC (Verification of Competency)

Construction Induction (White) Card

Current Victorian driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded)

Positive understanding of plans, levels and pavement construction

A strong safety mindset and a reliable, team-first attitude

Willingness to travel to sites across Geelong and Melbourne
