As we continue to expand our identity security practice, we are seeking an experienced Senior CIAM Lead Engineer / Consultant specialising in Auth0 to drive hands-on engineering, solution design and technical delivery across enterprise customer engagements.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on technical role combining Auth0 engineering, solution design, integration development and technical leadership.

You will be directly involved in configuring, developing, integrating, testing and troubleshooting Auth0-based customer identity solutions while providing technical guidance to engineering teams and customers.

You will work closely with customer architects, developers, security stakeholders and Securoak's delivery teams to implement secure, scalable and modern CIAM solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer who can independently own technical deliverables, solve complex identity challenges, contribute to solution architecture and lead engineering activities through to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Auth0 Solution Deign & Technical Delivery

- Lead and actively contribute to the hands-on design, configuration, development and implementation of Auth0 CIAM solutions.
- Configure and manage Auth0 tenants, applications, connections, organisations, Actions and authentication flows.
- Develop, customise and troubleshoot authentication and authorisation workflows using Auth0 Actions, APIs and relevant development frameworks.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SSO, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and passwordless authentication.
- Design and implement secure API authorisation, machine-to-machine authentication, token management and identity integration patterns.
- Develop and support integrations between Auth0, enterprise applications, APIs and third-party platforms.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment automation and CI/CD processes for Auth0 environments.
- Perform hands-on debugging, defect resolution, technical testing and performance optimisation.
- Support customer identity migration, user provisioning, account linking and modernisation of existing identity platforms.

Solution Design & Technical Leadership





- Translate customer business and security requirements into practical CIAM technical solutions.
- Develop and contribute to High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), integration designs and technical documentation.
- Design and deliver B2C and B2B identity solutions supporting complex enterprise application environments.
- Provide technical leadership, engineering guidance, code reviews and design assurance.
- Work closely with application developers, solution architects and security teams to resolve integration and implementation challenges.
- Take ownership of technical deliverables from initial design through development, testing, deployment and handover.

Customer Identity & Security

- Implement secure customer registration, login, account recovery and identity lifecycle management capabilities.
- Design and implement role-based and fine-grained access control patterns.
- Support integration with customer data, consent management and enterprise identity systems.
- Apply identity security best practices covering session management, token security, threat protection and privacy.
- Support platform scalability, reliability, operational resilience and production readiness.

Customer Engagement & Delivery

- Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements and resolve technical challenges.
- Lead technical workshops, solution walkthroughs and engineering discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams to implement and deliver CIAM solutions.
- Support integration testing, deployment activities, production troubleshooting and operational handover.
- Produce explicit technical documentation, configuration guides and implementation artefacts.
- Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge and contribute to Securoak's CIAM engineering capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management, application security or related engineering disciplines.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing and delivering Auth0-based CIAM solutions.
- Strong experience configuring, customising and troubleshooting Auth0 environments.
- Practical experience developing Auth0 Actions, API integrations and custom authentication workflows.
- Good programming and scripting skills,



with experience developing and debugging integration logic.
- Strong working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, MFA, JWT and API security.
- Experience with REST APIs, Terraform, CI/CD and modern application integration approaches.
- Experience implementing B2C and/or B2B customer identity solutions.
- Ability to contribute to solution architecture, technical designs and integration specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across identity platforms and application integrations.
- Experience leading technical delivery activities while remaining actively involved in engineering and implementation.
- Ability to engage directly with customers, facilitate technical discussions and communicate solutions effectively.
- Ability to independently own technical deliverables and work collaboratively with delivery teams.

Highly Desirable

- Experience delivering enterprise Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) transformation projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, cloud-native architectures and modern application environments.
- Experience integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications, APIs and third-party systems.
- Experience with customer identity migration, platform modernisation and legacy identity transformation.
- Understanding of customer identity lifecycle management, consent management and customer data integration.
- Exposure to advanced authentication, authorisation and identity security patterns.
- Experience delivering identity solutions for retail, financial services or other enterprise environments.
- Experience working in a cybersecurity consulting or professional services environment.
- Auth0 and/or Okta professional certifications.
