HIGH DISABILITY SERVICES
Adelaide
If you have the experience, the relationships and the capacity to manage a sustainable caseload, we have the opportunity.
High Disability Services (HDS) is a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that promote choice, independence and meaningful outcomes for people living with disability.
We are seeking an experienced Senior NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team in a full-time role, with flexible work-from-home arrangements.
This opportunity is particularly suited to an established Support Coordinator with solid relationships within the NDIS sector and an existing sustainable caseload or genuine participant pipeline.
Salary from $80,000 p.a. – with scope to negotiate higher
The advertised $80,000 per annum is the base salary for the position and is not necessarily the ceiling.
For an experienced candidate capable of supporting a larger sustainable caseload, HDS is open to negotiating a higher remuneration package, taking into account the scope of the role, experience, demonstrated capacity, expected workload and the size and sustainability of the caseload ultimately managed through HDS.
Any remuneration arrangement will be agreed transparently as part of the employment relationship and will comply with applicable employment, NDIS and other regulatory requirements.
Importantly, remuneration is not a payment or commission for referring individual NDIS participants to HDS. Participants retain complete choice and control over who provides their supports, and no participant is required or expected to transfer to HDS as a condition of employment.
The Role
As our Senior NDIS Support Coordinator, you will work independently while being supported by the broader HDS team.
You will assist participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans, connect with appropriate services and supports, build their capacity to navigate the NDIS, and work towards their individual goals.
The role provides significant autonomy and flexibility and is designed for an experienced Support Coordinator who is confident managing their own workload and participant relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality NDIS Support Coordination services.
- Supporting participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans.
- Helping participants identify and engage appropriate mainstream, community, informal and funded supports.
- Building participants' capacity to exercise choice and control and independently navigate the NDIS.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with participants, families, providers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating services across complex support environments where required.
- Monitoring participant budgets,
plan utilisation and progress towards goals.
- Identifying risks, service gaps and changing participant needs and responding appropriately.
- Preparing progress reports, plan reassessment reports and other NDIS documentation.
- Liaising with the NDIA, plan managers, allied health professionals, service providers and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate case notes, records and documentation in accordance with NDIS and HDS requirements.
- Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and HDS policies and procedures.
- Contributing to the continued development and growth of HDS Support Coordination services.
About You
We are looking for someone who can step into the role with substantial existing NDIS knowledge and industry experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- At least 3 years' experience in NDIS Support Coordination.
- A strong understanding of the NDIS, participant plans, funding categories and Support Coordination practice.
- Experience managing an established and sustainable Support Coordination caseload.
- An existing professional network and/or genuine participant pipeline within the disability sector.
- Established professional relationships within the Adelaide disability and NDIS sector.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a substantial Support Coordination caseload.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, advocacy and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report-writing and record-keeping skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to develop trusted professional relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.
- A current driver's licence and reliable access to transport.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance and other required compliance documentation.
Relevant qualifications in disability, community services, social work, allied health or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Existing Caseload and Participant Choice
We recognise that participants—not Support Coordinators or providers—decide who delivers their NDIS supports.
HDS will not purchase, trade or pay referral commissions for NDIS participants.
Where an applicant currently supports participants who may independently wish to continue receiving Support Coordination from that applicant after they join HDS,
any transition must occur only:
- at the participant's free and informed choice;
- with appropriate participant consent;
- without pressure, inducement or inappropriate influence;
- in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements; and
- consistently with any existing contractual, professional or legal obligations.
Applicants must not disclose participant names, contact details, NDIS numbers, plan information or other confidential participant information during recruitment.
We may instead discuss, at an aggregate level, the approximate size, complexity and sustainability of the caseload that the applicant reasonably expects to manage.
What We Offer
- Base salary from $80,000 per annum.
- Opportunity to negotiate a higher salary based on experience, role scope, workload and the size and sustainability of the caseload managed.
- Flexible work-from-home arrangements.
- A high degree of autonomy in managing your workload.
- Administrative and organisational support through High Disability Services.
- An established registered NDIS provider under which to deliver services.
- The opportunity to help shape and grow the Support Coordination function within HDS.
- A supportive environment focused on participant outcomes rather than unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Opportunity for further remuneration and career progression as the role and service grow.
Location
Adelaide, South Australia
The position offers flexible work-from-home arrangements; however, applicants should be Adelaide-based and able to meet participants and stakeholders in person when required.
How to Apply
Please apply through LinkedIn with your current résumé and a brief introduction outlining your NDIS Support Coordination experience.
In your application, please indicate:
- Your experience managing Support Coordination caseloads.
- The approximate number and complexity of participants you currently support or reasonably expect to continue supporting, without identifying individual participants.
- Your current working hours and availability.
- When you would be available to commence.
- The nature of your existing professional networks within the Adelaide NDIS sector.
- Your remuneration expectations, particularly where you expect to manage a larger established caseload.
All discussions regarding existing caseloads will be treated confidentially.
The $80,000 salary is our starting point—not necessarily your ceiling. If you have the experience and capacity to manage a larger sustainable caseload, we're ready to discuss a remuneration package that reflects the scope of the role.
