An established Australian engineering business is seeking 3 experienced Welders to support its specialist manufacturing operations.

Working across complex fabrication projects in defence and advanced engineering, you’ll help manufacture high-integrity steel assemblies where precision, structural integrity, and quality are critical.

These opportunities span specialist procedure welding and general fabrication, offering exposure to technically demanding projects, high-strength materials and rigorous manufacturing standards.

Experience within defence, aerospace, rail, marine or other highly regulated manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate and weld complex structural assemblies, armour plate and high-strength steel components.
- Perform GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and MMA welding across a range of fabrication applications.
- Complete multi-pass, full-penetration and fillet welds to demanding engineering specifications.
- Work to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), maintaining strict quality and traceability requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps and technical specifications.
- Prepare and inspect welded assemblies, supporting non-destructive testing and quality assurance processes.





About You

- Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Fabrication or equivalent.
- Robust experience in structural steel, heavy fabrication or high-integrity welding.
- Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG and MMA experience is highly regarded.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Experience working to approved welding procedures and stringent quality standards.
- Strong understanding of weld integrity, dimensional accuracy and material preparation.

Familiarity with ISO 9606-1, AS/NZS 1554, and non-destructive testing requirements is advantageous.
