About the Role

QS School Point Cook and Essendon campuses are seeking passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary and Secondary Maths and English Teachers and Tutors to join our growing teaching teams.

We are looking for educators who enjoy working with children, have strong subject knowledge and are committed to helping students build confidence, develop essential academic skills and achieve their full potential.

This is a casual position offering flexible teaching opportunities within a supportive and professional learning environment.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers, experienced tutors and university students with robust academic backgrounds and a passion for education.

Applicants may specialise in Mathematics, English or both, and may teach primary and/or secondary year levels depending on their qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, well-structured and effective Maths and/or English lessons to primary and secondary students.

- Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching strategies to suit different student abilities and learning needs.

- Create a positive, encouraging and well-managed classroom environment.

- Monitor student understanding, provide constructive feedback and support ongoing academic improvement.

- Use provided teaching materials and resources effectively to deliver high-quality lessons.

- Encourage students to develop confidence, independent thinking and positive learning habits.

- Work collaboratively with the QS School teaching and administration team to maintain high educational standards.

- Maintain professional communication with students, parents and colleagues.

About You

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

- Strong knowledge of primary and/or secondary Mathematics or English.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.





- A genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed.

- Patience, enthusiasm, reliability and a positive attitude.

- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

- The ability to engage students of different ages and academic abilities.

- A willingness to follow school teaching guidelines and work collaboratively with colleagues.

- A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain one before commencing employment.

Highly Regarded:

- A teaching qualification or relevant university degree.

- Previous teaching or tutoring experience.

- Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum.

- Experience preparing students for scholarship or selective school entrance examinations.
