About the role

Cultus is a new bakery and coffee destination opening in the heart of South Yarra. We're looking for skilled baristas and enthusiastic front-of-house team members to join us as we build our team ahead of opening. Whether you're a confident barista who thrives behind the machine or a hospitality all-rounder who loves great service, we're looking for people who take pride in their work, care about the details and enjoy being part of a great team.

Key responsibilities

Skilled Baristas:

- Prepare consistently excellent espresso coffee in a rapid-paced environment

- Have a strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing and coffee quality

- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient coffee station

- Deliver friendly, confident service while keeping up with busy service periods

- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a smooth customer experience

Front of House Team Members:

- Welcome customers and create a warm, positive first impression

- Take orders and process payments accurately through the POS system

- Present and serve our pastries, baked goods, drinks and other products

- Keep the front counter, display cabinets and customer areas clean and inviting





- Support the team during busy periods and help maintain an efficient service flow

About you

- Previous hospitality experience, particularly for barista applicants

- A genuine passion for great coffee, quality food and customer service

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills

- Someone who takes initiative, notices the details and enjoys working as part of a team

- The ability to stay calm, organised and friendly in a high-volume environment

- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn
