Como Sociale is a new Italian restaurant in the heart of Ballarat, and we are looking for experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for passionate and reliable team members who have genuine Italian kitchen experience and can confidently work across a busy service.

About the role

You will be working across different sections of our kitchen, preparing and cooking our Italian menu to a consistently high standard.

Experience and knowledge in the following areas is compulsory:

- Italian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Pans / sauté section

- Grill

- Fryer

- Pizza / pizza oven

- Pasta preparation and cooking

- Food preparation and kitchen organisation

- Working efficiently during busy service

- Maintaining food quality, presentation and consistency

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in an Italian restaurant is essential

- Strong knowledge of Italian food and ingredients

- Proven experience working on pans, grill and fryer





- Pizza-making experience is compulsory

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Fast, organised and able to work under pressure

- Strong attention to food quality and presentation

- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene

- Reliable, punctual and professional

- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
