They specialise in customised care programs tailored to individual patient needs. They operate a close, supportive team alongside the Principal Practitioner.

About the role

This is a permanent part-time role (Wednesday and Thursday) supporting the Principal Practitioner. It's more varied than standard chairside assisting. You'll combine patient care with practical lab work where you will make retainers, whitening trays and other simple dental appliances.

You'll also be a friendly voice and face of the practice: greeting patients, taking calls and booking appointments. You'll bring a calm, methodical approach and take pride in a seamless, caring patient experience.

Your role

Chairside + Clinical

- Greet and seat patients warmly and professionally

- Set up and clean down treatment rooms to high aseptic standards

- Assist chairside and keep procedures running efficiently

- Sterilise instruments and maintain sterilisation logs

- Take intra-oral photos and upload them to the software

- Make patient care calls after complex treatments

Reception Tasks + Stock Control

- Book appointments, answer calls,



and process payments

- Monitor stock levels and manage restocking and monthly stock reports

Laboratory Tasks

- Trim temporary crowns and manage lab records

- Fabricate retainers, whitening trays and simple appliances (training provided)

- Coordinate external lab deliveries

About you

You are an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment. You take pride in delivering excellent patient care and have a natural ability to anticipate the next step in treatment.

Essential

- 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience in a dental practice

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent)

- Full Australian working rights (citizen, permanent resident, or unrestricted work visa)

- Availability every Wednesday and Thursday

- Confident, friendly phone manner, as you'll be taking patient calls and booking appointments

- Strong time management and attention to detail

- Calm under pressure and comfortable working autonomously

Desirable

- Current First Aid and CPR

- Dental software and Microsoft Office experience

- Experience with orthodontics, retainers or lab work

- Experience taking intra-oral photos with an SLR camera
