About the role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our friendly team at ibis Styles Broken Hill. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in maintaining a property to a high standard and has a can-do attitude.

Key responsibilities

- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel
- Carry out basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and handyman tasks within your skill level
- Maintain hotel rooms, public areas and outdoor spaces
- Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist with gardening, groundskeeping and general upkeep
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests
- Ensure the hotel remains safe, clean and well-maintained

About you

- Previous maintenance, handyman or trade experience preferred
- Good practical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- A positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
