Vacvator Pty Ltd is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer specialising in vacuum excavation trucks, dry vacuum, and jetting equipment. As an industry leader, we're growing fast and are looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Goulburn, NSW.

The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter at Vacvator, you’ll work hands-on in our clean, modern workshop assembling and maintaining our range of vacuum excavation units.

You’ll play a key role in:

· Assembling our manufactured units

· Completing servicing and repairs on vacuum excavation equipment

· Assisting with diagnostics and fault-finding as required

· Supporting continuous improvement and protected work practices in the workshop

Key Responsibilities

· Assemble new vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment to specification

· Carry out scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance on Vacvator units

· Perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and rectification of faults

· Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production and service deadlines





· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

· Follow all WHS policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

· Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (Cert III Mobile Plant Technology) or equivalent

· Experience in mechanical fitting, servicing, and repairs (hydraulic or mobile plant experience highly regarded)

· Knowledge of 12/24V CANBUS auto electrical systems (desirable, not essential)

Position Details

· Permanent Full-Time

· Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

· Occasional overtime available/required

· Based in Goulburn, NSW

· Immediate start
