Portal Contractors is a specialist earthworks and excavation contractor delivering complex basement and civil works on Tier 1 commercial projects across Sydney. From deep excavation and bulk earthworks to piling, capping beams, shotcrete walls, and full retention systems

We're looking for motivated General Labourers who want more than just a day rate. If you're willing to work hard and learn, we'll teach you the trade, put real skills in your hands, and set you on a genuine pathway to Leading Hand

- General labouring activities across live earthworks and excavation sites
- Site clean-up and housekeeping to maintain safe, organised work zones
- Drilling dowel bars and installing anchors into retention structures
- Hanging and positioning mesh for shotcrete and structural walls
- Assisting with steel fixing and reinforcement placement
- Checking levels and assisting surveyors with set-out tasks
- Supporting piling, capping beam, and bulk earthworks operations as directed

What You Need

- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
- A solid work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- Reliable attendance — you show up, on time, every day




- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
- Good communication and the ability to follow directions safely
- Valid driver's licence (preferred)
- Previous labouring or construction experience (great to have, not essential)

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour

Experience :

- Commercial construction: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- White Card (required)
- CFMEU Membership (preferred)
