Senior Consultant – Network, Cloud & Security About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant to support a large-scale network security transformation involving the implementation of an Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution across APAC and the U.S.

You’ll provide technical leadership throughout the migration, helping onboard customer websites behind the Akamai WAF and supporting the network configurations required for a smooth transition. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at both a highly technical level and a strategic consulting level within complex, global environments.

What You’ll Do

- Develop migration strategies and onboarding wave plans for global sites.
- Provide technical leadership, identify solutions, and proactively mitigate risks throughout the migration.
- Support onboarding readiness reviews and work closely with Akamai and customer teams during implementation.
- Troubleshoot DNS validation, cutovers, certificate issues, onboarding failures, workflow exceptions, smoke testing, and production validation.
- Review onboarding exceptions, recommend remediation, and coordinate technical escalations across site owners, application teams, DNS administrators, Akamai resources, and customer stakeholders.
- Identify technical dependencies, risks, and issues across the project.
- Perform rapid and accurate root cause analysis.
- Partner with the Project Manager to coordinate and schedule onboarding waves with regional site owners across APAC and the U.S.
- Lead or contribute to large-scale network, cloud, and security transformation initiatives for global clients.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, presentations, designs, and project deliverables.

What We’re Looking For

Akamai WAF & Network Security

- Deep experience with Akamai WAF design,



configuration, network segmentation, and implementation.
- Experience onboarding customer websites behind an Akamai WAF solution.
- Load balancing experience, particularly F5, is a plus.

Networking & Internetworking

- Strong understanding of complex, global network environments.
- Extensive experience with:
- DNS and DHCP
- Routing
- CNAME changes
- Origin servers
- WAN and SD-WAN
- MPLS and hybrid WAN
- Internet VPN and Ethernet

- Experience with MPLS integration, including QoS, IP routing, equipment/transport selection, and migration planning.
- Experience planning, designing, and deploying large campus LAN and wireless environments.

Network Architecture & Technology

- Experience with network equipment selection, sizing, and detailed engineering design.
- Knowledge of network virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, particularly Cisco, with experience in environments involving Juniper, Extreme Networks, or similar platforms.
- Experience with SDN, VeloCloud, VMware/virtualization, and/or IoT is a plus.

Data Center & Routing

- Experience designing and deploying data center core, distribution, and segmentation architectures.
- Experience with both legacy and fabric-enabled data center environments.
- Cisco ACI or other SDDC experience is highly desirable.
- Strong IP routing experience, including OSPF, BGP, M-BGP, and EIGRP.
- Understanding of NAT,



DNS/DHCP, and address summarization as they relate to IP addressing and routing.

Cloud & SASE

- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and AWS and/or Azure is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SASE concepts and technologies is highly desirable.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CCIE certification, or equivalent experience with CCNP or similar certification.
- 12+ years of experience planning, designing, and implementing complex enterprise networks or working in professional services/network integration environments.
- 2+ years of consulting experience delivering advisory services.
- Experience leading large, multi-technology global transformation projects as a technical tower lead or overall program lead.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead complex networking engagements in large, ambiguous, or unfamiliar environments.
- Strong experience producing professional technical deliverables and Visio designs/diagrams. Samples may be requested.
- Ability to travel as required for client engagements.
- Native-level spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong accountability, reliability, ethics, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

You’re someone who can go deep technically when needed, but also lead a large piece of a global transformation initiative. You’re comfortable working across networking, security, cloud, and customer teams, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and taking ownership when issues arise.
