About the Role

Our Client, X PRIME AUTOS PTY LTD is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting, accounting systems, taxation compliance and financial analysis within the business. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, examining operating costs and income, maintaining internal controls and providing financial advice to support effective business decision-making.

The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation and statutory compliance, together with the ability to analyse financial information, maintain accurate accounting systems and provide reliable financial advice to management.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
- Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation.
- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure.
- Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
- Preparing taxation returns for individuals and organisations.
- Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
- Introducing and maintaining accounting systems,



and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
- Maintaining internal control systems.
- Appraising cash flow and financial risks associated with capital investment projects, where required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have

- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a closely related field.
- More than 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and applicable accounting standards.
- Experience preparing financial statements, taxation returns and financial reports.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation laws, statutory reporting requirements and relevant compliance obligations.
- Experience maintaining accounting systems, internal controls and accurate financial records.
- Ability to examine operating costs, analyse financial performance and provide financial advice.
- Strong analytical, numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
