About the role

APS Plumbing is seeking an experienced Acoustic Pipe Lagger to join our growing team in Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD 4000, where you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining acoustic pipe lagging systems across our diverse range of plumbing and building projects. As an Acoustic Pipe Lagger, you will be responsible for applying specialist insulation and acoustic treatments to pipework, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency and noise reduction for our clients.

This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of workmanship that APS Plumbing is known for throughout the industry.

Key responsibilities

- Measuring, cutting and fitting acoustic pipe lagging materials to specifications and project requirements
- Installing and securing lagging materials to pipework using appropriate adhesives, fasteners and techniques
- Ensuring all acoustic treatments are applied to the highest standard, meeting building codes and client specifications
- Preparing pipe surfaces for lagging installation, including cleaning and priming as necessary
- Inspecting completed work to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies
- Operating and maintaining hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Following health and safety procedures on all job sites and reporting any hazards or incidents
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure coordinated and timely project completion
- Transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

What we're looking for





- Proven experience as an Acoustic Pipe Lagger or similar role in the plumbing, HVAC or building services sector
- Competency in measuring, cutting and fitting insulation and acoustic lagging materials
- Knowledge of acoustic and thermal insulation products and their applications
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to multiple job sites
- Current First Aid Certificate and White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements
- Preferred experience with industrial or commercial projects
