Job Title: AO6 HR Generalist

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour Super

Employment Type: Temporary Contract (ASAP to January 2027)

Location: Brisbane CBD, QLD

Role Overview The AO6 HR Generalist delivers high-level operational and strategic human resources advice, end-to-end HR services, and Work Health & Safety (WHS) support across the organization . Operating within the Queensland Public Sector framework, this role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff, driving safe, compliant, and efficient workforce operations .

Key Responsibilities

Generalist HR Operations: Provide expert, end-to-end generalist HR advice, operational support, and case management across the employee lifecycle .

Work Health & Safety (WHS): Drive WHS compliance, conduct risk assessments, lead incident reporting processes, and oversee injury/return-to-work management initiatives .

Public Sector Compliance: Interpret and apply Queensland Public Sector legislation, directives, awards, and policies to ensure organizational alignment .

Business Partnering & Advisory: Partner with management to address employee relations, performance management, workforce planning,



and organizational change initiatives .

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal leaders, workforce teams, and external body representatives .

Key Requirements

HR Generalist Experience: Proven experience delivering complex generalist HR services or operating as an HR Business Partner .

WHS Expertise: Strong hands-on experience managing Work Health and Safety, compliance, and injury management processes .

Public Sector Context: Practical experience operating within the Queensland Public Sector regulatory and directive framework .

Interpersonal Skills: Solid negotiation, consulting, and written/verbal communication skills with a track record of effectively influencing stakeholders .
