At Adica Insurance, we are proud to be part of the global MS&AD; Group, one of the world's leading insurance organisations. Operating in the Australian market, we provide motor and commercial insurance solutions through trusted brands including Toyota Insurance and Lexus Insurance.
We're committed to helping our people grow, develop and build meaningful careers. If you're passionate about technical excellence, coaching others, and driving continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Technical Strategy & Quality, the Audit & Training Assessor is a newly created role that will play a critical part in strengthening assessment quality, technical consistency, compliance and capability across our Assessing function.
Operating independently from day-to-day assessing activities, you'll provide objective oversight through quality audits, repairer reviews, capability coaching, training initiatives and performance insights that support continuous improvement across the business.
Working closely with Assessing Leadership, Learning & Development and operational stakeholders, you'll identify trends, uplift technical capability, and drive initiatives that enhance customer outcomes, operational performance and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with a passion for quality, coaching and continuous improvement.
You'll play a key role in shaping assessment excellence across the business, helping deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for customers while supporting the ongoing development of our Assessing team.
In this role, you'll:
- Act as a trusted technical specialist, providing independent quality oversight and guidance across our Assessing function.
- Conduct quality and repairer audits, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve assessment accuracy, technical performance and customer outcomes.
- Partner with leaders and assessors to provide coaching, feedback and targeted development initiatives that enhance capability and performance.
- Facilitate technical training and learning programs that build confidence, consistency and best-practice outcomes.
- Analyse quality and performance data to identify emerging trends and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor assessment allocation practices to support workload balance, capability alignment and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to strengthen governance, compliance and quality frameworks.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that shape the future of assessing capability, quality and performance at Adica.
Why You'll Love This Role
This isn't a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to influence how assessment excellence is defined, measured and developed across the organisation.
You'll work closely with experienced technical professionals, coach and develop others, and have a genuine opportunity to shape quality standards and capability uplift across the Assessing function. Your expertise will directly contribute to better customer outcomes, stronger technical performance and continuous improvement across the business.
About You
We're looking for a technically strong motor insurance professional who is passionate about quality, capability development and continuous improvement.
You'll bring
- Significant experience in motor assessing, technical assessment, quality assurance or a related insurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of repair methodologies, estimating platforms and assessment best practice.
- Experience conducting technical audits, quality reviews or compliance activities.
- Demonstrated coaching, mentoring and capability development experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and drive meaningful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to influence, collaborate and build credibility across all levels of the business.
- A high level of integrity, objectivity and attention to detail.
Highly Regarded
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
- Quality assurance, auditing or compliance-related qualifications.
- Experience within motor claims and assessing operations.
- Exposure to workforce planning, resource allocation or operational performance reporting.
