This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the café.

We are looking for someone with a passion for coffee, strong beverage preparation skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, speciality coffees, teas and other beverages to a consistently high standard. Operate, clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders and other beverage preparation equipment. Grind coffee beans, adjust coffee settings and extract espresso according to quality standards.

Steam and texture milk correctly to prepare cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and other coffee varieties. Take customer orders, process payments and operate the point-of-sale system accurately. Provide friendly and professional customer service and respond to customer requests.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the coffee station, counters, equipment and customer service areas. Monitor coffee, milk, syrups and other supplies, restock items and assist with stock rotation. Assist with food preparation, presentation and serving where required.

Follow food safety, workplace health and safety requirements and applicable hygiene standards. Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods. Assist with opening and closing duties and other general café operations as required.





Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Barista in a café or hospitality environment. AQF Certificate II or III in Hospitality, Food and Beverage Service, or a related field is preferred. Good knowledge of espresso machines, coffee grinders and coffee preparation techniques.

The ability to prepare a range of coffee beverages to a consistent standard. Knowledge of milk steaming, texturing and espresso extraction. Strong customer service and communication skills. The ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.

Good attention to detail and a commitment to beverage quality. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety practices. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.

Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.
