Full-Time Bartender / Bar Manager – Vogue Café Sydney

Vogue Café Sydney is a premium harbour-front restaurant with 180 covers, combining contemporary cuisine, elegant décor and impeccable service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Vogue Café at Sydney’s world-class Darling Harbour waterfront precinct.

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on and customer-focused hospitality professional to join our team as a full-time Bartender / Bar Manager.

You will take an active role in preparing and serving exceptional drinks while overseeing the daily bar operation across our all-day dining service. The successful candidate will help deliver memorable guest experiences, maintain a high-quality beverage offering and create a positive, professional environment for the bar team.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages to consistently high standards
- Overseeing daily bar operations and ensuring smooth, efficient service
- Leading, training and motivating the bar team
- Delivering warm, attentive and professional service to guests
- Supporting the development of seasonal cocktails featuring Australian native ingredients and locally produced spirits
- Maintaining strong product knowledge and guiding guests through the beverage menu
- Managing stock levels, ordering, stocktakes and supplier relationships
- Monitoring beverage costs, portion control and wastage




- Supporting bar staff rostering, shift management, and opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining high standards of bar presentation, cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety
- Ensuring responsible service of alcohol and compliance with venue procedures
- Managing bar transactions, cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Working closely with the kitchen, front-of-house and senior management teams
- Creating a positive workplace where all team members can thrive

About You

- Previous experience as a Bartender, Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor or Bar Manager
- Experience in a busy restaurant, cocktail bar or all-day dining venue
- Strong cocktail-making skills and sound knowledge of wine, beer and spirits
- A genuine interest in Australian native ingredients, local spirits and contemporary beverage trends
- Robust leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
- A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
- Calm, reliable and confident during busy services
- Experience with stock control, ordering and beverage cost management
- A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
