4A is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board and contribute financial insight, strategic thinking and a commitment to contemporary art and cultural dialogue.

Founded in 1996, 4A is an independent not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney. We champion the practices of Asian artists and elevate cross-cultural dialogues between Australia and Asia through commissions, exhibitions, public programs, research and international exchange.

Working closely with the CEO and General Manager, you will help the Board oversee budgets, financial performance, cash flow and risk, and make informed decisions about 4A’s long-term sustainability. You will also contribute to the development of our 2029–2032 strategy, planned for submission to federal and state funding bodies in April 2027.

We welcome an experienced finance or accounting professional who can translate financial information into explicit advice and work collaboratively with a small arts organisation. Not-for-profit, grant-funded or arts-sector experience is valued; a commitment to 4A’s mission is essential.

Proposed appointment: voluntary, unpaid Board role.
