Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Trainee – Power Transmission & Industrial Products /n Sydney /n /n The Opportunity /n My client is an established supplier of power transmission and industrial products, supporting customers across manufacturing, engineering, mining and other industrial sectors. They are looking for a Business Development Manager or Technical Sales Trainee to join their Sydney branch, supporting existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow the business. This is a customer-facing role involving technical product enquiries, relationship management and business development.

The business is open to both experienced industrial sales professionals and developing candidates with solid technical aptitude, a customer-focused attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. /n /n Key Responsibilities /n /n

- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers

/n

- Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of customer accounts

/n

- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable product solutions

/n

- Promote power transmission and related industrial equipment

/n

- Respond to customer enquiries and follow up sales opportunities

/n

- Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to support customer requirements

/n

- Develop product knowledge and understand different industrial applications

/n

- Maintain regular communication with customers and provide reliable follow-up

/n

- Support the continued growth of the Sydney branch

/n /n /n About You /n /n

- Experience in business development, account management, technical sales or a related customer-facing role





/n

- Exposure to bearings, gearboxes, power transmission or related industrial products preferred

/n

- Mechanical, engineering or industrial product knowledge advantageous

/n

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

/n

- Genuine interest in technical problem-solving and understanding how products work

/n

- Confidence communicating with customers and identifying their requirements

/n

- Proactive attitude with a willingness to ask questions and learn

/n

- Good organisational skills and ability to manage customer enquiries

/n

- Self-motivated with an interest in developing a long-term career in technical sales
