To be successful in this role, you will have:

- At least 1 year of practical cabinet-making experience

- The ability to confidently read and interpret detailed drawings and plans

- Experience using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools

- Knowledge of cabinetry materials,

finishes and hardware

- Strong measuring and problem-solving skills

- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Cabinet Making / Joinery or equivalent, including at least two years of on the-job training, or relevant Certificate IV qualification.

Alternatively, at least three years of relevant industry experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

What to Expect

This is a varied role offering a combination of workshop and on-site work, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys seeing a project through from manufacture to final installation.

The position involves working with machinery and in environments where there may be dust and noise, as well as manual handling and repetitive tasks.

Depending on project requirements, occasional overtime and travel may be required. The position also includes duty-call work, including some after-hours attendance.

Why Join Davis and Brooks?

You'll be joining a family-owned business where quality, reputation and teamwork matter. Rather than producing the same thing day after day, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects and see the finished result of your workmanship in our clients' homes and properties.

If you're a capable Cabinet Maker who is reliable, safety-conscious and proud of delivering a quality finish, we'd love to hear from you.
