Deveer Pty Ltd t/as Halo Espresso CAFE MANAGER – FULL-TIME Location: Halo Espresso, South Perth, Western Australia Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 38 hours per week Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per annum About the Role Halo Espresso is seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our café in South Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high service standards, controlling operational costs and ensuring a positive customer experience. We are looking for a professional with strong leadership skills, sound hospitality management experience and the ability to manage a busy café workplace efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily operations of the café to ensure efficient service. Recruit, train, supervise and develop café staff. Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing requirements in line with business needs.

Oversee customer service and ensure a welcoming and positive customer experience. Maintain high standards of coffee preparation, food quality, presentation and cleanliness. Monitor stock levels, order supplies and manage inventory to minimise waste.

Monitor operational expenses and labour costs to support business profitability. Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally. Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and relevant hospitality requirements.

Supervise staff performance and promote teamwork, accountability and productivity. Oversee the opening and closing of the café and ensure operational procedures are followed.



Coordinate with management regarding business performance, operational improvements and growth opportunities.

Essential Requirements At least one year of experience as a Cafe Manager or in a similar hospitality management role. A Diploma of Hospitality Management, Diploma of Business, Diploma of Business Management or an equivalent qualification is preferred. Strong leadership, staff supervision and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Experience in staff rostering, stock control and café operations. Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment. Sound knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety and hospitality industry standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
