About Us

Neat Gardens is a growing Sydney-based landscaping business specialising in landscape construction, garden maintenance and related services.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hardworking person to join our team as a Casual Gardening and Landscaping Assistant.

This is an excellent prospect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, wants to develop practical skills and is interested in growing with a small but expanding business.

About the Role

You will initially work alongside an experienced landscaper, receiving practical, on-the-job training across a range of landscaping and gardening activities.

Your responsibilities will include

- Lawn mowing, edging and general garden maintenance
- Hedging, pruning, weeding and garden clean-ups
- Planting, soil preparation and mulching
- Turf preparation and installation
- Assisting with landscape construction projects
- Handling landscaping materials, tools and equipment
- Site preparation and clean-up

As your skills and experience develop, you will be given opportunities to work more independently and take on greater responsibility at client sites.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Enjoys practical, hands-on outdoor work
- Is physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
- Can follow instructions and work safely




- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Has good communication skills
- Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transport
- Can travel to different client sites across Sydney

Previous landscaping, gardening or construction experience is an advantage but is not essential. Training will be provided for the right person.

Working Arrangements

- Initially approximately 2–3 days per week, depending on workload and weather
- Work at various locations across Sydney, including the Inner West, Western Sydney, North Shore and southern suburbs
- Potential for additional working days as the business grows
- Opportunities to develop skills and take on more responsibility
