Catering Sales Manager 1 Hotel & Homes Melbourne | Full-time

At 1 Hotel Melbourne, we bring people together through thoughtful, memorable experiences. We’re looking for a relationship-focused Catering Sales Manager to grow our catering business, create exceptional events for our clients and help deliver our revenue goals.

Working closely with the Director of Catering, Director of Sales and hotel teams, you’ll build new business, develop existing client relationships and guide events from the first enquiry through to the final details.

What you’ll do

- Develop and deliver sales plans to win new business in your assigned market and support opportunities across other markets.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, growing accounts and repeat business.
- Achieve individual and team revenue targets in line with the Catering budget.
- Consult with clients on event requirements and confirm contracts, payments, guarantees, setups and any changes.
- Maintain accurate client information,



sales activity and function details in Delphi.
- Prepare event floor plans using Social Tables and coordinate event requirements with hotel departments.
- Conduct site inspections and represent the hotel at trade shows, familiarisations and other sales activities.
- Attend relevant sales meetings, briefings and team rallies.
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues and partners, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

What you’ll bring

- At least four years’ sales experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality workplace.
- A relevant qualification and confidence using industry systems.
- Strong client service, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, work to targets and follow through on details.
- Confidence reading and interpreting budgets and financial information.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 hotel environment, including around event needs.
