About the opportunity
We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Communications Coordinator to help tell the story of one of Australia's most exciting home electrification initiatives.
Electric Future is leading the $40 million ARENA-funded Go Electric Pilot Program, helping up to 1,000 households in Canberra transition to cleaner, more affordable, all-electric homes.
You'll play a key role in how we engage households, installers, community organisations and delivery partners, ensuring people have the right information at the right time.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating content, connecting with people and bringing real stories to life. You'll have the opportunity to shape our communications approach from the ground up as the program grows.
What you'll be doing
- Communications and engagement: Develop and deliver communications across the household and installer journeys, including email campaigns, newsletters and regular program updates.
- Content and storytelling: Create engaging social media content, capture household and installer stories, and celebrate program milestones through case studies, photography and video.
- Community and partner communications: Work closely with Electrify Canberra and other program partners to develop engaging, accessible content, FAQs and campaign materials.
- Events and campaigns: Support community engagement events, installer events and program launches with promotional materials, content and follow-up communications.
- Internal communications: Help keep our delivery teams, community coordinators and installers informed, aligned and equipped with consistent messaging.
- Performance and improvement: Track engagement,
manage content calendars and continuously improve how we communicate with our audiences.
What we're looking for You'll be a strong communicator who enjoys working across different audiences and can turn complex information into simple, engaging content.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- 2+ years of experience in communications, content creation, marketing or community engagement.
- Excellent writing skills and an ability to adapt your tone for different audiences.
- Experience managing social media, email communications and content calendars.
- Basic design skills using tools such as Canva.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A genuine interest in sustainability, climate action and the transition to clean energy.
Experience in community engagement, government-funded programs, photography or video production would be a bonus, but isn't essential. Why join Electric Future?
We're building businesses and programs that make electrification easier and more accessible for Australian households.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to a nationally significant home electrification initiative.
- Help real households make the transition to cleaner, more affordable energy.
- Shape the communications approach for a program with ambitions to scale.
- Work with a passionate team and a diverse group of industry and community partners.
- Enjoy flexible working arrangements and opportunities to grow with Electric Future.
