About the role

Are you passionate about restoring nature, fostering community well-being, and inspiring others through outdoor learning? We are looking for an enthusiastic and community-minded Conservation Officer to guide our environmental care initiatives. In this role, you will be at the heart of our sustainability journey, designing practical tree planting, soil revitalization, and environmental education programs.

This role seamlessly blends hands-on ecosystem restoration with public engagement. You will be instrumental in executing reforestations, caring for native and fruit-bearing trees, and establishing natural learning environments that connect individuals, school groups, and community members with nature to enhance local well-being.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and guide hands-on ecosystem care strategies that support biodiversity, habitat restoration, and local environmental balance.
- Coordinate and lead sustainable tree planting initiatives, focusing on the healthy growth and protection of native flora and community fruit trees.
- Oversee organic and practical soil improvement plans to help heal degraded land, enrich soil health, and support thriving plant life.
- Design and run interactive environmental education activities, workshops, and outdoor learning experiences.
- Nurture public participation in nature-based initiatives, creating welcoming spaces that promote eco-awareness,



community connection, and personal well-being.

About you

- A related Degree or higher in Conservation, Environmental Science, Resource Management, Sustainability Studies, Agricultural Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Certificates - Diploma in education highly recommended.
- 1-2 years of qualified experience leading or coordinating ecosystem restoration, habitat building, and community greening programs.
- Practical and applicable understanding of soil health revitalization methods and effective tree stewardship (both native ecosystems and fruit-bearing trees).
- Proven experience in planning and delivering engaging workshops, educational lessons, or structured activities in an outdoor learning environment.
- Fantastic interpersonal skills with a true passion for guiding, motivating, and connecting with diverse groups of people, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Competent English is a must and the ability of speaking Spanish is very beneficial for the services offered.
