Construction Project Manager
Regional residential developments
Employer: Albilly Group Pty Ltd
Location: Campbellfield
Employment: Full time, ongoing
Salary: AUD $140,000–$160,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
Reporting to: Managing Director About the role
Albilly Group Pty Ltd is a Victorian property development and construction project management business. We are expanding our in-house project delivery capability and seeking a Construction Project Manager to support residential developments, with a focus on projects in regional areas.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will plan and manage projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will take responsibility for construction programmes, budgets, contractor coordination and delivery on site, working with external consultants and local trades.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage residential construction projects, setting delivery programmes, budgets, milestones and resource requirements.
- Support the assessment of regional development opportunities by reviewing construction feasibility, site constraints, servicing requirements, costs and delivery risks.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, surveyors and other consultants to progress designs, approvals and construction documentation.
- Prepare scopes of work and tender packages, assess quotations, and manage procurement and subcontractor engagement within delegated authority.
- Direct and coordinate contractors and site teams, monitor performance and resolve issues affecting progress, cost or quality.
- Plan regional site mobilisation, material deliveries, equipment and trade availability to keep works on schedule.
- Monitor budgets, cash-flow forecasts, progress claims and variations, and report project performance and emerging risks to the Managing Director.
- Oversee implementation of site safety, environmental and quality requirements, and coordinate inspections, defect rectification and handover. About you
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- At least three years of relevant construction experience, including demonstrated responsibility for project planning, budgets, contractor coordination and delivery.
- Experience in residential building, multi-dwelling development or comparable construction projects.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and construction contracts.
- Sound understanding of applicable Australian building requirements, site safety and quality management, and the ability to coordinate with suitably qualified consultants.
- Strong communication, negotiation and reporting skills, with confidence managing contractors and working independently across project sites.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, cost tracking and standard office software.
- A current driver's licence valid for driving in Australia, and a construction induction White Card or the ability to obtain one before commencing site work.
Experience delivering projects in regional locations or coordinating site logistics where trade and supplier availability is limited will be highly regarded. Regional travel and site work
Regular travel to regional project locations and periods of working away from home are essential requirements of this role. You must be willing to attend sites throughout the construction programme and coordinate delivery with local contractors and suppliers. Project locations and the expected pattern of site attendance will be discussed during recruitment. What we offer
- AUD $140,000–$160,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
- A full-time, ongoing role with responsibility for project delivery and direct access to the Managing Director.
- The opportunity to help develop the company's internal construction management capability and support its regional development plans. How to apply
Apply through this advertisement with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining the projects you have delivered, your level of responsibility and your availability for regional travel and site-based work.
Albilly Group welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates, including Australian citizens and permanent residents.
