We’re looking for someone who loves cooking, enjoys looking after people and brings energy and fresh ideas to a small team.

At Oasis Hotel Motel, we want to give locals and visitors more reasons to walk through our doors—great pub meals, regular specials, memorable functions and the return of favourites our community loved, including our smorgasbord nights.

The opportunity

Reporting to our on-site Manager, you’ll work alongside our existing cook to build on our restaurant offering and help grow our catering and functions.

There’s room to contribute here. Bring ideas for a weekly special, help bring a smorgasbord night back to life or make a function feel special for our guests. We’re looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into meals and experiences people come back for.

Our restaurant is only part of Oasis. We also have a bar, bottleshop, gaming and motel accommodation. You’ll get to know our regulars and support the team across the venue.

What your day could involve

- Cooking Australian pub-style meals alongside our existing cook.
- Creating appealing specials and improving food presentation and consistency.
- Helping bring back smorgasbord nights and other community favourites.
- Preparing and serving food for catering, functions and events.
- Welcoming guests, taking orders, serving meals and clearing tables.
- Providing friendly service in the bar,



bottleshop and gaming areas.
- Helping with ordering, stock rotation, deliveries and restocking.
- Pitching in with dishes, cleaning and housekeeping when needed.
- Keeping food safety, cleanliness and organisation at a high standard.

You’ll fit in well if… You take pride in a good meal and a happy customer. You’re dependable, approachable and comfortable having a chat with a local or making a visitor feel at home.

You also notice when a teammate needs a hand. Whether that means helping in the kitchen, serving a bottleshop customer, washing dishes or preparing a room, you’re happy to get involved.

We’re looking for

- Genuine, hands-on Australian kitchen experience.
- Confidence cooking Australian pub-style meals.
- An interest in specials, buffet-style meals, catering and functions.
- Friendly customer service across every part of the business.
- Initiative, good communication and the ability to stay organised when it gets busy.
- Availability for evenings and weekends.

Experience in bar, bottleshop, gaming or housekeeping is welcome. Please include your relevant qualifications and any current RSA or gaming certificates. Why join Oasis?

Work rights and sponsorship pathway Applicants must currently be living in Australia and hold valid work rights suitable for this role. Overseas applications will not be considered, and offshore sponsorship is not available.

We have an approved Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) in place, with a sponsorship pathway available for the right candidate, subject to the role and applicant meeting the relevant requirements.

Applicants seeking future sponsorship must have at least 18 months remaining on their current visa. This gives both parties time to work together, confirm suitability and build a strong working relationship before committing to a longer-term sponsorship arrangement.
