Summary

Our client, Melt Pizzeria, is a popular neighbourhood restaurant located on King William Road in Hyde Park, South Australia. Known for its signature pizzas, tapas and shared dining experience, our client is seeking to add a Cook to its kitchen team.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Examine and select fresh ingredients to ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes.
- Prepare and cook a range of menu items, including pizzas, tapas plates, salads and desserts, in accordance with Melt Pizzeria's recipes and standards.
- Prepare and cook share-style tapas dishes fresh in-house daily, ensuring flavour, portion size and presentation meet restaurant standards.
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure food is cooked correctly and safely.
- Season and cook food during preparation to achieve the required taste and quality.




- Portion and plate dishes, adding sauces, garnishes and accompaniments for service.
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and follow proper food handling and stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with estimating food requirements, preparing ingredients for service and supporting effective kitchen operations.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum one year of experience in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
