Cosmetic Registered Nurse – Clinical & Surgical Care

We are seeking a well-presented, confident and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our state-of-the-art Oculoplastic Practice and Day Surgery in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a nurse who has a genuine passion for cosmetic surgery, enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and thrives in a varied clinical environment.

Working closely with our highly regarded specialist surgeon and Director of Nursing, you will play an important role in guiding patients through their surgical journey, from their initial pre-operative consultation through to their post-operative care and recovery.

Our practice specialises in cosmetic eyelid surgery, with a particular focus on Blepharoplasty. We pride ourselves on providing a highly personalised approach to patient care in a beautiful, welcoming and professional environment.

The Role

This is a permanent part time position working four days per week, with regular daytime hours between approximately 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.

You will become an integral part of our small, collaborative team of nurses, anaesthetists and administrative professionals.

The position offers an interesting combination of patient-facing clinical nursing, assisting in theatre and practice administration.

Key responsibilities include

● Conducting pre-operative consultations, providing patient education and clear surgical preparation instructions.

● Independently conducting routine post-operative consultations, including wound assessments, suture removal and ongoing patient support, in collaboration with the surgeon.





● Building trusting relationships with patients, listening to their concerns and providing reassurance throughout their recovery.

● Working closely with the surgeon and Director of Nursing to ensure exceptional continuity of care.

● Assisting with minor procedures under local anaesthetic.

● Providing nursing assistance in theatre and recovery as required.

● Ordering and managing medical and surgical supplies.

● Assisting with nursing administration, clinical documentation and the smooth running of the practice.

● Contributing to social media content and patient education initiatives.

About You

We are looking for a nurse who combines clinical confidence with warmth, empathy and excellent organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

● Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

● Experience in post-operative surgical care.

● Experience in scrub, anaesthetic or recovery nursing would be advantageous.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● A genuine interest in cosmetic surgery and patient wellbeing.

● The confidence to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the wider team.

● Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise and take initiative in a busy, multitasking environment.





● Good computer literacy and attention to detail.

● A polished, skilled presentation and a positive, adaptable attitude.
