About the role

We're hiring three hands-on department supervisors, one specialising in Deli, one in Food Prep and one in Fruit & Veg. You'll take ownership of your department's daily operation, lead the team on shift and set the standard for quality and service. You'll work on the floor alongside our casual team, with support from our owners, who oversee buying, rostering, recruitment and business management.

Key responsibilities

- Lead your department on shift, set clear priorities, delegate tasks and check that work is completed to standard.
- Guide and coach casual team members, build valuable habits and keep the team focused during busy periods.
- Deliver warm, attentive customer service and resolve everyday issues, escalating when needed.
- Maintain stock quality, manage rotation and replenishment, reduce avoidable waste and flag stock needs to the owners.
- Complete daily, opening and closing checklists as rostered. Keep work areas clean, equipment safe and handovers clear.
- Work with the other supervisors to keep the store running smoothly and support other areas where appropriate to your training.
- Deli: Serve customers confidently, share product knowledge,



maintain counter presentation and use a commercial deli slicer safely.
- Food Prep: Prepare food to consistent quality and portion standards, keep preparation organised and maintain food safety and hygiene.
- Fruit & Veg: Take pride in freshness and presentation, check quality, rotate stock and keep displays replenished.

About you

- A food retail or hospitality background, with strong practical skills in your chosen department.
- Proven leadership experience guiding a team, organising a shift and maintaining standards.
- A friendly, confident personality, clear communication and a hands-on approach.
- Reliability, initiative and pride in food quality, presentation and hygiene.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
