We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Disability Support Worker to support a male participant who uses a wheelchair, based in Bentley, Perth.
Position Details
- Location: Bentley, Perth WA
- Participant: Male
- Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Availability: Ongoing, consistent weekday shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
- Provide respectful, person-centred support tailored to the participant’s needs.
- Assist with wheelchair-related mobility and transfers in accordance with the participant’s support plan and your training.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and low-demand approaches where required.
- Support community access, engagement, and skill development.
- Maintain the participant’s dignity, safety, privacy, and professional boundaries.
- Complete accurate and timely progress notes and documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring,
patient, and dependable Disability Support Worker.
- Experience supporting wheelchair users and participants with complex needs is highly regarded.
- Understanding of person-centred support, PBS strategies, and low-demand approaches.
- Solid communication, reliability, and documentation skills.
- Relevant NDIS screening, clearances, and required training.
