At Alliance Community, we believe everyone deserves the prospect to live independently, confidently, and with dignity. We are currently seeking a Vietnamese Speaking Disability Support Worker to join our growing team and provide person-centred support to clients around Liverpool area.
This is a disability support worker role delivering person-centred care and support to clients across 7 days per week, based on client needs and support requirements.
Services are delivered across standard shift hours:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and daily living activities
- Provide household and domestic support
- Support community participation and social engagement
- Provide transportation to appointments and activities
- Offer emotional support and companionship
- Provide respite support for families and carers
- Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing
About you
- Ability to speak Vietnamese and English
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disability
- At least 2+ years of experience in disability support or a similar role is highly preferred
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, or equivalent qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel between client locations
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Experience supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of person-centred and strengths-based support practices
