RSA Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Team Leader to join our operations team in Tullamarine VIC. This is a full-time position that offers the chance to lead, manage and develop a high-performing team within our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining safety standards, and driving productivity across your team. This position reports to management and has direct responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and performance of your team members.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise, coordinate and manage daily team activities to ensure targets are met and operations run smoothly
- Conduct induction, training and development of team members to ensure competency and compliance with company procedures
- Monitor team performance metrics and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Ensure all health, safety and environmental regulations are adhered to across your team
- Investigate and resolve workplace incidents, hazards and near-misses promptly
- Maintain accurate records including timesheets, attendance, training logs and incident reports
- Foster a positive team culture and handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within team operations
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding and scheduling of team members as required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing, transport or logistics operations
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly relevant to logistics and warehousing environments
- Demonstrated ability to motivate,



manage and develop diverse teams effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and record-keeping practices
- A commitment to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Relevant formal qualifications or certifications in team leadership, supervision or health and safety (desirable)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as occupational health and safety laws
