After School Care Educator & Driver

We are looking for a caring, responsible and reliable After School Care Educator & Driver to join our team and support our Before & After School Care program.

This role will involve assisting with school pick-ups using your own vehicle and safely transporting children from local schools to our centre, followed by supporting children’s learning, play and wellbeing during our After School Care program.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with school-aged children, is confident driving and can work collaboratively with our team to ensure children's safety, wellbeing and enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete school drop-offs and pick-ups from local schools and safely transport children to our centre.
- Use your own reliable vehicle to transport children.
- Receive reimbursement for fuel expenses associated with work-related transport.
- Ensure children are safely signed in and out during transport and handovers between the school and our centre.
- Follow all child safety, supervision and transportation policies and procedures.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks before transporting children and ensure appropriate child restraints are used.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, transport logs and any required documentation.
- Complete transport documentation and contribute to program planning, linking experiences to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP).
- Communicate professionally with families, school staff and the educator team.




- Assist with setting up activities and maintaining a welcoming, engaging workplace during Before and After School Care, where required.
- Support children's social, emotional and physical wellbeing through play-based experiences and group activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow the service's policies and procedures at all times.

Key Requirements

- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)
- Current childcare industry requirements, including, Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, Child Protection and Safety training and All other required compliance certificates
- A current driver’s licence
- Own reliable vehicle suitable for transporting children
- Vehicle must be Registered, Roadworthy and safe, Appropriately insured (including suitable insurance requirements for transporting children).
- Responsible, punctual and confident driving children safely
- Passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and learning

Pay: $26.44 – $33.05 per hour
