Novocastrian Electrical Contractors are looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing team in 2027 as a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice.

About the role:

As an electrical apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and developing the skills necessary to become a qualified electrician. This is a full-time position with the potential for ongoing employment upon completion of your apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities:

- Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings

- Learning to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics

- Gaining experience in the safe and proper use of electrical tools and equipment

- Completing on-the-job training and attending vocational education classes to obtain your electrical certification





- Participating in team-based projects and contributing to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for:

- Strong interest in the electrical trade

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- White Card (or willingness to obtain)

- Driver's licence (Manual preferred but not essential)

- Cert II in Electrotechnology
