Novocastrian Electrical Contractors are looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing team in 2027 as a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice.
About the role:
As an electrical apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands‑on experience and developing the skills necessary to become a qualified electrician. This is a full‑time position with the potential for ongoing employment upon completion of your apprenticeship.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Learning to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
Gaining experience in the safe and proper use of electrical tools and equipment
Completing on‑job training and attending vocational education classes to obtain your electrical certification
Participating in team‑based projects and contributing to the overall success of the business
What we're looking for:
Solid interest in the electrical trade
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Driver's licence (Manual preferred but not essential)
Cert II in Electrotechnology
