Harmon Plumbing & Lighting is looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on role focused on picking and packing customer orders, receiving and dispatching stock, and assisting with the day-to-day operation of our warehouse.
We're looking for someone who is organised, works efficiently, pays attention to detail and takes pride in getting the job done properly.
Key responsibilities
Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for delivery or collection.
Check products, quantities and paperwork to ensure orders are correct.
Receive, unload and organise incoming stock and supplier deliveries.
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety requirements.
Assist with dispatching orders and coordinating stock movements.
Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies.
Participate in regular stocktakes and inventory checks.
Assist with local supplier collections and customer deliveries when required.
Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse.
Work closely with warehouse, sales and delivery staff to ensure orders are completed on time.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills and experience
Previous warehouse, picking and packing or stores experience preferred.
Current forklift licence required.
Current driver's licence preferred.
Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Solid organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
Physically capable of safely performing manual handling duties.
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Experience working with plumbing supplies, building materials or similar products.
Previous experience with stock management or warehouse systems.
Experience loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
