About the Role:

You will accurately assess vehicle damage to determine cost-effective and safe repairs while ensuring the best outcome for the customer and balancing the needs of the business.

We are looking for you to join us in our Pakenham branch.

What you’ll be doing:

- Damage Assessment: Inspect vehicles (both structural and non-structural damage) using estimating software and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repair guidelines. Inspect vehicle damage in-person or via digital photo uploads.
- Quote & Scope Preparation: Write itemized repair plans covering parts replacement, R&I; (remove and install), body labor, paint/refinish times, and frame alignment.
- Insurance & Client Liaison: Communicate with insurance assessors, fleet managers, and private customers to approve quotes and manage supplements.
- Workflow Coordination: Order parts ahead of time and work with shop managers and panel/paint technicians to keep shop output high.
- System Quoting: Build line-item repair estimates inside iBodyshop, integrating live dealership parts pricing, labor rates, and paint/materials costs.




- Cross-Platform Integration: Frequently cross-reference and sync quotes with platforms like Audanet/Audatex and PartsCheck.
- Masterfully assessing vehicle damage to ensure safe, cost-effective repairs.
- Conducting post-repair inspections to guarantee top quality.
- Writing precise reports, negotiating repair costs, and working with repair partners.
- Collaborating with a passionate team to solve challenges and enhance customer experience.
- Helping us uphold high standards that protect customers and keep the business thriving.

What you bring to the Team:

- Qualification: Trade qualification in motor body repair industry (Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent).
- Industry Experience: Background as a panel beater, spray painter, or experienced automotive estimator (structural experience is heavily preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of modern vehicle materials, electronics, safety systems, and manufacturer repair procedures rather than just clicking parts in a database.
- Sound experience in writing quotes and estimating.
- A customer-first mindset with solid communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with confidence using computers.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
