Permanent Financial Accountant, Office-Based in Banksmeadow, Up to 120K plus super, Parking on-site

Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a successful global manufacturing and wholesale business experiencing continued growth and securing significant new tenders.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work while building strong relationships across the wider business. You'll play a key role in financial reporting, month-end and maintaining accurate financial information, while partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger
- Supporting monthly financial and management reporting
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Preparing and reviewing financial information to ensure accuracy
- Supporting audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements
- Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business




- Supporting process improvements and driving efficiencies within finance
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

What you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for someone who brings strong accounting capability but, equally importantly, is collaborative, approachable and a confident communicator.

- Previous experience as a Financial Accountant
- Robust understanding of month-end and financial reporting
- Manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or inventory-based industry experience highly regarded
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach with a willingness to support the wider business
