We’re hiring: Forward Deployed Engineer

FoodFlow, powered by AXIS, is AI-native software for food, distribution and manufacturing businesses. It adapts to how each business works, including its workflows and rules.

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with clients and help turn real operational needs into practical FoodFlow changes.

This role combines client discovery, business analysis and technical judgement. You’ll map workflows, identify business rules and exceptions, write transparent requirements, and guide changes through implementation, testing, user acceptance and go-live. You’ll work with AI coding agents and the engineering team, but you won’t need to write production code.

You’ll need to show us that you have:

Personally led client discovery or workshops for a complex business software implementation

Mapped multi-step processes and documented business rules and acceptance criteria

Hands-on experience with at least one ERP, CRM, WMS, SCM or similarly workflow-heavy software implementation

Technical judgement to reason about data models, APIs or integrations, dependencies,



security and downstream impacts

- Taken meaningful responsibility for a client-facing software change through testing or delivery

We’re interested in what you personally did and how your work led to a practical outcome. We don’t require a particular degree or a set number of years’ experience.

Experience in food, wholesale distribution, manufacturing or logistics is valuable. So is integration experience or familiarity with AI coding agents. Prior use of AI coding tools isn’t essential; curiosity and willingness to learn are.

You’ll have direct client exposure, real influence over product decisions and measurable outcomes for food-industry clients. This is a full-time, Melbourne CBD office-based role.
