Gardening & Property Support Team Member

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and compassionate Gardening and Property Support Team Member to join our team.

The role involves gardening, lawn mowing, grounds maintenance, general property support and occasional decluttering across Melbourne’s western, north-western and south-western suburbs.

Many of our clients are older or vulnerable people receiving support in their own homes. While this is not a personal-care position, patience, empathy, respect and understanding are essential.

This job is about more than mowing a lawn and leaving. We need someone who cares about the client, respects their home and dignity, listens to their concerns and takes pride in completing the service properly.

You must be able to think on your feet, use common sense and respond calmly when circumstances change, while following company procedures and knowing when to contact your Team Leader.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving outdoor work in different weather conditions.

- Listening carefully and communicating clearly with clients and team members.
- Showing understanding when clients are anxious, distressed or experiencing difficulties.
- Respecting clients’ privacy, belongings, choices and personal information.
- Reporting safety or welfare concerns promptly through the correct process.
- Contacting your Team Leader if a client refuses service, requests work outside the agreed scope or an unexpected issue arises.
- Following job instructions, service notes, safety procedures and reporting requirements.
- Completing required job records, sign-in/out and photos.
- Maintaining professional boundaries and working within your role.

- Ability to follow directions and work at a steady,

Training may be provided to the right candidate, but reliability, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to work are essential.
