Astel Homes is a South Australian-owned builder specialising in turnkey investment properties. Working with investor groups and development partners, we deliver affordable, reliable homes across the Adelaide metropolitan area.

We're now looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the business and help shape its future direction. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of the building process, with the authority and experience to make the operational calls. This is a hands-on role, working alongside the team day to day while continuing to strengthen the business's strategic capability.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll take full ownership of operational and financial performance for the full lifecycle of the construction business. Key responsibilities include:

- leading and developing the team across sales, pre-construction and construction
- translating the business strategy into clear plans, targets and results
- driving financial performance, including margin, cashflow and budgets
- strengthening systems, processes and compliance across the business
- building solid relationships with clients, trades, suppliers and partners.





Who We're Looking For

You'll have at least 15 years' experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. You'll also bring:

- a proven track record leading a residential building business or operations team
- strong commercial and financial acumen, with confidence managing margin and cashflow
- sound knowledge of South Australian building regulations and all relevant legislative requirements
- the ability to build systems, develop people and drive accountability.
