About the role

This is a varied, office-based role combining estimating and contract/project administration. You'll work with our Senior Estimator and project team on reviewing construction drawings, specifications and tender documents, completing quantity take-offs from landscape and construction drawings, and assisting with the preparation of project estimates and quotations.

Key responsibilities

Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and tender documents

Completing quantity take-offs from landscape and construction drawings

Assisting with the preparation of project estimates and quotations

Sending requests for pricing to suppliers and subcontractors

Comparing and recording supplier quotations





Maintaining current supplier, material and subcontractor pricing

Assisting in the development and maintenance of our estimating price book

Preparing tender documentation, inclusions, exclusions and supporting information

Setting up and maintaining project and tender records

Maintaining contracts, variations and other commercial project documentation

About you

Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills

Confidence using Excel and computer systems

Valuable written and verbal communication

The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

An understanding of construction and how projects are priced and delivered

The ability to read construction drawings, or the willingness to learn

Experience in landscaping, civil or commercial construction would be highly regarded

Experience with estimating or construction management software would be highly regarded, but is not essential
