The opportunity

We’re looking for a hands‑on Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our newest property in Sydney. This role ensures our buildings reflect Iglu’s signature blend of cool design and warm hospitality. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the property in top condition, managing contractors, and ensuring our residents have an exceptional living experience.

- SupportingtheGeneralManagerandcontributingtotheresidentexperience.

Qualificationsandexperience

- Experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or a similar field
- Strong practical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, painting, or general maintenance
- Highlevelofinterpersonalskills,especiallyinrelatingtoyoungpeoplefromdiversebackgrounds.
- Ability to conduct minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, painting, etc.).
- Abilitytomeettighttimeframeswithoutcompromisingaccuracy.
- Demonstratedinitiativeinproblem-solvingandopennesstonewideas.
- GoodworkingknowledgeofWorkHealth&Safetylegislationandpractices.;
- Commercialunderstandingoftenderingandservicelevelsfromexternalcontractors.
- TradequalificationinMechanical,Electrical,Plumbing,Carpentry(orsimilar) is desired but not required.
- CurrentPoliceCheckandWorkingwithChildrenCheck(orabilitytoacquire).
