About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Wait Staff to join our team at our Sunbury location. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests. As Waiting Staff, you will be the face of Vics Food and Wine, responsible for creating positive first impressions, attending to guest needs and ensuring every visitor leaves with a memorable experience. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for hospitality excellence and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in a timely and organised manner
- Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings
- Taking accurate food and drink orders and communicating them clearly to kitchen and bar staff
- Serving food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to health and safety standards
- Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Processing payments efficiently and accurately using point-of-sale systems




- Clearing and resetting tables promptly between seatings
- Maintaining a clean and organised dining area
- Supporting team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in waiting or hospitality service roles is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanour with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and support colleagues
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems
- Willingness to learn about food, wine and beverage offerings
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Current Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one
