We are seeking a WA-based Technical Sales Manager to lead growth in our Maritime business, with additional responsibility for Lifting & Rigging and Fishing. You will combine new business development, account management and practical technical support, taking ownership of territory incoming orders, revenue, margin and pricing outcomes. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work with our Australian sales, technical and operations teams and global product specialists. This territory sales role has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

Grow profitable business by developing existing accounts and winning new business from towage and maritime customers, distributors, original equipment manufacturers and service partners, delivering incoming orders, revenue, margin and pricing targets with Maritime as priority

Build trusted customer relationships by engaging procurement, engineering, operations and maintenance teams, understanding operating priorities, inspection cycles, replacement schedules and maintenance needs

Provide practical technical support by matching customer requirements with fit-for-purpose products and services, supporting safe use, inspection and replacement discussions, and seeking specialist review for complex or high-risk technical matters

Convert opportunities into reliable delivery by managing quotations and tenders within approved pricing and margin limits, coordinating availability, lead times, inspection and testing services, and resolving customer or quality issues





Manage the territory with discipline by maintaining account plans, customer records, pipelines and forecasts, sharing market intelligence, monitoring customer inventory needs and coordinating with national colleagues to minimise channel conflicts

About you

Demonstrated success in technical sales, account management or business development, including winning current business and growing existing accounts

Practical product and application knowledge, with the ability to interpret customer requirements and recognise when specialist technical advice is needed

Sound commercial judgement across quotations, tenders, negotiation, pricing, margins, pipeline management and forecasting

Strong communication and organisational skills, confident use of customer and business systems, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a national team

Current Australian driver's licence and the ability to meet relevant customer site induction and access requirements

WA Maritime market knowledge and established customer relationships highly regarded

Lifting & Rigging or Fishing product experience, distributor management experience and relevant technical, trade or marine qualifications would be an advantage

Ability and enthusiasm for intra and interstate travel (20-30%) including to Australia HQ on the Gold Coast
