Shape the Future

- Permanent Full-time
- Any Australian capital city / Hybrid
- Package commensurate with experience

Most HRIS roles ask you to implement a system. This one asks you to design the architecture behind an entire people function, and then make it run better every year.

The Opportunity

Our client is a national, purpose led health and employment services group, operating a portfolio of specialist brands that help people stay healthy, recover from injury and get back to meaningful work. It's a large, multi-site, people-intensive business, and its People & Culture function has strong operational foundations to build from.

With a new Dayforce HCM platform as the foundation, the Chief People Officer has created a brand-current General Manager role to take P&C; from solid operations to an integrated, insight-led model. You'll bring together people, process, technology and data to simplify work, give leaders better information and set the direction for the wider people technology ecosystem.

To be clear about what this isn't: it's not a Dayforce administration role, and it's not a broad transformation role without the systems depth. It needs someone who can sit between HR, technology, data and enterprise transformation, and actually deliver.

What You'll Be Doing

- Workforce optimisation roadmap - Shape and lead a Dayforce-enabled roadmap focused on workforce productivity, labour cost visibility and capacity planning.
- Platform value - Take Dayforce beyond implementation into sustained optimisation, adoption and value realisation, with a prioritised pipeline of enhancements.

- Workforce insights - Turn workforce data into clear insight for the CPO, executive and divisional leaders across headcount, turnover, labour cost, capacity and skills gaps.
- Process and automation - Embed continuous improvement across P&C;, simplifying and automating processes to cut manual effort and rework.
- Governance - Set up clear governance for the roadmap, linking priorities and investment decisions to measurable commercial outcomes.
- Change and adoption - Lead the communications, training and engagement that make new ways of working stick across the business.
- People technology - Advise on future HR technology decisions, including performance management and learning systems.
- Enterprise partnership - Build practical alignment across P&C;, Payroll, IT, Finance and divisional teams.

About You You're a senior people leader who is as comfortable with a process map or a data model as you are in an executive meeting.

You'll bring

- Significant senior People & Culture leadership experience in large, complex or multi-site organisations
- A track record of leading workforce optimisation, HR transformation or HCM-enabled improvement, where you built the architecture rather than just implemented a system

- Hands-on experience optimising Dayforce or a comparable enterprise HCM platform after go-live (Dayforce itself is helpful, not essential)
- Genuine depth across HR systems, process improvement, automation and workforce analytics, and confidence being tested on the data
- Strong experience in governance, roadmap stewardship and benefits realisation
- Commercial judgement that links workforce technology and data to measurable business outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Technology or a related discipline
- Desirable: experience in healthcare, employment services, allied health or another people intensive sector

The combination matters here. Deep systems capability without the breadth, or broad transformation experience without the systems and execution depth, won't be the right fit. Why Join?

This is a chance to build something from the ground up, with a Chief People Officer who created the role because she wants it done properly. You'll have a new platform to build on, a clear mandate, your own team, and the flexibility to be based in any capital city with one to two days a week in the office. The work you do will shape how employees and leaders right across the business experience their employer, in an organisation whose whole purpose is improving people's health and working lives.

Applications demonstrating this combination of experience will be prioritised given the expected level of interest and we endeavour to respond to all applicants as quickly as possible.
