We're hiring an in-house accountant to own them. You'll run the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting across a portfolio of our clients' businesses — multiple venues, multiple entities, every corner of the hospitality finance function.

This isn't a back-office seat. You'll be in front of owners every week, explaining what the numbers mean and fixing the processes behind them.

We're hiring an in-house accountant to own them. You'll run the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting across a portfolio of our clients' businesses — multiple venues, multiple entities, every corner of the hospitality finance function.

What you'll own

The day-to-day numbers

- Payroll, plus supplier and bank reconciliations
- Weekly wage and revenue forecasting
- Cash flow forecasts — set up from scratch, then kept current
- Helping build annual budgets

Month end and compliance

- Month-end reporting: balance sheet reconciliations, journals and accruals
- IAS and BAS returns, prepared for client review
- All of it in Xero

Reporting owners actually read

- Financial reports with clear commentary — what happened, why, and what to do about it
- Connecting the numbers to what's happening on the floor, so owners make better calls

Process, on the ground





- Working with clients daily and weekly so financial processes are understood, implemented and followed
- Fixing them where they're not
- Bringing stronger processes and controls in across the portfolio

Where this goes

Broad, by design. You'll see multiple businesses, multiple entities and every part of hospitality finance. You'll work alongside Kate Bradford, our CFO, and directly with venue owners and their managers. You'll have a real say in how processes run and which tools we use, and you'll take on more responsibility as PAX grows.

What you'll need

- Hospitality experience. You know how a venue makes and loses money, and you can connect the numbers to what's happening on the ground.
- Substantial experience managing a portfolio of businesses, in a restaurant group or an accounting practice. Multi-entity is your normal.
- Strong in Xero. Not "familiar with".
- Hands-on with payroll, reconciliations, BAS/IAS and month end. You've done it, not watched it.
- Comfortable in front of clients every week. You can walk a chef-owner through a P&L; without losing them.
- You'd rather fix a broken process than work around it.

Bonus: Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) or CPA — great if you've got it, not a deal-breaker. Portfolio and hospitality experience matter more to us.
